I've been really horrible with updating my blog lately. Work been crazy (due to crazy people) ;p and when I'm not playing Sorority Life on FB, I'm doing research to finish my assignments. It's a long tiring cycle..hehehe...

Anyway I had a good Hari Raya celebration. Lan and I celebrated Raya in Malacca with my family and we spend the 2nd and 3rd Raya with Lan's family also in Malacca and Perak. Food was awesome (as usual), Me likey my new baju kurung purchased 3 days before Raya in OU at a whim ;p (walaupun tak se-menyerlah seperti baju raya tahun2 yg lepas due to tummy constraint) and best Raya with hubby for the first time this year (insyallah with Beanie next year)

Highlight Raya:-

1.1st Day of Raya:- Melayan my cousins weird/cute antics

Mukaffar (going to his mum asking) "Mummy what's wrong with Kak Ana's tummy? did she eat too much cheeseburger?"

My aunt :"No lah got baby inside"

Kaffar : "dulu tak buncit pun, how did the baby get in there??"

My aunt: "errrr......"

Playing make-up artist to my 10, 8 and 6 year old cousins. Serious semua perasan cantik. Yanni refused to talk at all from 9am to 11am sebab I put on lip gloss on her lips and she takut "tak kilat, lagi" *sigh* (At least that got her QUIET)

2. 2nd Day of Raya

Panic kejap bila Lan's cousin 80 year old father in law went missing. We stop by @ Lan's uncle house, solat kat Surau, the guys took a nap and some of the women pergila rumah uncle. After solat Lan and I was hanging around the lawn, atuk tu pun lalu. Kitaorang buat tak tahu la. Atuk tu pun keluar gate.10 minutes later Lan's cousin came out the house tanya "mana atuk?" So we were like "dia jalan keluar" Panic semua orang. Rupa2nya atuk tu ada Alzheimer. Terjerit2lah everybody "atuk.. atuk" . Nasib baik Abg Malik and Lan found the atuk @ da bus stop (about 2km jauh from the house) Dia dah nak naik bus dah balik Pahang.

Note: Sekarang fikir rasa lawak but at that time takut juga :p

3. 4t Day Raya in Perak:-

Faris: "Kakak, Kakak nak tengok gigi Faris tak?

Me: Ok (looking at his mount)

Faris:Bukan lah, ni ha dalam pocket (yucks)

2 hours later, a few of the kids went beraya kat rumah pak cik sebelah. They came back and lepas 10 seconds I can see Faris running outside.

Me: Faris nak pergi mana tu? balik nanti ayah marah

Faris: Kejap orang tertinggal gigi kat rumah pak cik *serious I gelak macam orang gila, hearing that*

Ok that's all the update for now. Will try and update later on more baby news :p

Of Ramadan coming and ending...

Can't believe there is only 3 more days to Ramadan. All in all, a good month. Did I become a better person? Can't really comment on that but I do hope some good did come out of the fasting month. Better self refrain maybe? hehehe but it's great that I managed to arrange for a few get together to catch up with my close friends. Best :) Quite sad that Ramadan is ending but excited Syawal is looming...

Raya Preparation

First raya with hubby, exciting experience I must say though hubby refused to get a new baju melayu (in consolation he does have one in accordance to the theme colour) We've started cleaning the house, put up some new decorations and made other necessary arrangement. Kuih raya tak banyak though, only got 2 jenis sebab malas nak membazir and tamak, probably going to get more kerepek-ish items as people prefer to munch on that anyway.

Baju raya dah siap. I wouldn't say I'm crazy over my outfit but bolehlah. I just don't want to look like a slob on my first raya as a wife. Just because I'm pregnant that should not be an excuse to look like a drap, hehehe baru 7 months kawin kena lah jaga sikit :p

On open house :) tengoklah ok if I don't have extra class on the weekend. However close friends are invited to come hang out at our place. Just call :)

Rezeki Baby :)

We received some cool stuff for Beanie from my boss who left the department last Friday, which includes A Fisher Price Rain forest Peek-A-Boo Mobile, a Bumbo chair and a 10piece Mothercare baby suit set. *Alhamdullilah* All in all Lan and I save close to RM500 since we were planning on getting the stuff anyway. Cool :)

Dealing with complicated people

Let just say there is someone new in my department who is driving me nuts. She treats everyone like orang bawahan and refused to listen to our views and comments on things.She's also insensitive to things like raya holidays, early release during Ramadan and other stuff. The weird thing is even higher level people like my other managers, HOD's even Executive Directors does not treat us that way. Well, all I can say is what goes around comes around. I hope she's prepared with whatever karma have in store for her...

Anyway I hope I'll have time to update one last time before Raya. Been tied up with work for the past 2 weeks, but what is a job without nothing to do and no challenges right? Have a good day, peeps *muackz*

Saturday Activities
Berbuka puasa session with the gals & boys :- Reebok, Najwa, Farisa, Tinie, Nia, Cat, Aimee, Hanis, Shikin, Iza and Lan @ Tony Roma's, Cineleisure. Food was all around ok (though my steak was a bit raw :( ) Company was better. Serious had so much fun talking, sharing each other food, kutuking, cam whoring ( Banyak gambar but of course lambat lah nak tunggu Rajoo and Tinie upload.. Urrghh lupa lak bawak my camera) In summary had tons of fun...

Lan and I came a bit early so that we can start baby shopping. First we went to Anakku for the basic2 stuff (i.e baby sleepwear, rompers for home use etc & napkins) Itupun crazy kejap coz there's too much cute stuff and I'm like "why do I have to follow this stupid list?? 6 jumpers only? how depressing" hahahah yeah I know baby will grow out of it soon blah blah blah but serious have to restraint myself from buying stuff...

Then we move on to Baby First Year ( for swaddle, grooming set etc) , Metrojaya (got the cutest duckie towel) and Debenhams (wooo got sale so managed to get Beanie FIRST pair of cradle shoes, baju jalan2 and tiny mini sweater sets) Actually I wanted to buy 3 pairs of shoes in Debenhams (it's all on 30% sale) but Lan put his foot down, some boring stuff about Beanie can't walk and don't NEED shoes. I hate reasonable logic... hahahah..Geram!!! Ohh and after that we went to Brand Outlet to get some bip's and baby sockz. Adorable...

Baby's wardrobe is about 85% complete just need some of those "holey tops" for home use and we're all set...

Work in progress, we finally got a new wardrobe for my extra clothes and am planning to get some cheerful wall sticker to decorate the room. Nothing fancy...

Baju Raya
*sigh* I got a new jubah (from First Lady) + a cute kurung kedah-ish (from Noor Arfah) I'm not in LOVE with it but it will do, coz I don't want to spend so much on a big baju kurung that I might not wear again after the pregnancy and am still waiting for my 2 baju from the tailor... I know I should have pinjam mummy's baju but I find it too big and despite the pregnancy I'm still the vain old me who still love to dress up and pimp around in new clothes...hahaha

Preggers Update
After 2 weeks of puasa penuh, I've decided to puasa alternately. Went for Beanie's 6 months check up last Friday.Mummy and baby is fine physically (baby growing accordingly and I'm not malnourished, dehydrated, sick etc) but I only gained 0.9 kg after 1 month (all in all pregnancy weight gained is 2.6 kg) So doctor mentioned eventhough I'm up and running happily she's more comfortable if I can gain at least 2 kg by the next visit. I think she's just afraid Beanie is getting the nutrients from me and thus making me prone to infection (esp with the whole H1N1 thing going on) Anyway just need to ganti about 2 weeks or less. Not that much anyway.

Reminder
I'm told despite the lack of report of H1N1 casualties, people are still dying and getting infected. So even if you refused to wear the mask, do practise good hygiene ok (wash hand every hour or carry sanitizer) etc. Better be safe than sorry.

The way to MY MAN's heart....

My hubby likes to eat. Like is an understatement actually. He LOVES to eat. So the best way to ambik his hati is by cooking. I won't say that I'm an EXCELLENT cook, that credit goes to my sister ;p but I'm not bad-lah. Throughout Ramadhan I rarely prepare food for breaking fast due to classes/time/plain malas & penat :p

I'll cook simpler dishes for sahur like spaghetti or nasi goreng even french toast (all depending on the degree of kerajinan) coz tak berbaloi nak masak dishes banyak2 for 2 people. Yelah takkan nak masak nasi ngan telur goreng je kan...

Semalam due to the goodness of my heart, I made one of hubby fave dishes. For some reason kat rumah tu banyak fresh fish. He wanted me to goreng it all off, "eeeee, serious tak best langsung" So I masak lah "ikan cencaru sambal cili api belah belakang" Itz a bit leceh coz you got to cook the fish and the sambal separately and I really tak pandai goreng ikan (mesti kena minyak) but becoz I'm NICE and sayang punya pasal buatlah jugak (hahahah tapi mengungkit, kan!)

Hahahhah from 4 ekor tinggal 1 je :) bak kata my grandma (one of her MAIN ADVICE when she found out I was getting married) "bila dah kawin nanti rajin2 pergi dapur, bagi suami rasa air tangan, biar dia sentiasa ingat, masak air pun jadilah" hahahahah nampak sangat my grams tau cucu dia malas nak masak...

So hubby are you thinking of me? *smirk*roll eyes* foot tapping on the floor*

Note: Can't wait to see my cinta hati no 2 on Friday :) Lan got competition.....
