The Tale of Two Weekends

Warning: This is going to be one of those long post describing in length (photos) my two week worth of weekend activities.

29 April 2012: Upin and Ipin the Musical Time in Istana Budaya. The theater itself was "ok-la", very colourful etc. Ryan was excited at first but after an hour he got bored so he started bugging everyone instead. Thank god we brought a huge entourage consisting of my sis, bro in law and my 4 sisters in law so Ryan has a lot of people to layan his antics.

Anyway kinda sad that we can't get the Upin doll since it is all sold out. Kena carik la...

The much awaited date with hubby.

We took Monday before Labour day off to spend time together-gether.

Went to watch The Avengers- which was AWESOME.

 I find the scripts funny and HULK is such a scene stealer

New flats : Black from Primavera courtesy of my mum and the brown one was from Payless Shoe Store in Sunway. The selection is crazy.
I also bought Cars2 Sneakers for Ryan and a pair of slippers each for the twins

Labour day: Had to go back to Sunway to exchange Ryan's shoes which was a size too small.

I drove to Sunway with Ryan and met my sister there for lunch...

@Delicious: My yummy spaghetti pesto +grilled chicken (which Ryan choose to eat rather than his own meal), Ryan's chicken fingers and the chocolicious sundae .

Last Saturday: cooked lunch for hubby. Just simple dishes of sambal sardin, egg mayo and sawi and cendawan goreng.

Version 7.0 : Harry Pot Pot Rules!!!

I managed to catch Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows last night with Lan, my sister and my bro in law after convincing my mum to babysit Ryan (not that she needs much convincing anyway :p)

Anyway the movie was not bad. I'll be lying if I say that it's the greatest movie ever but it was better than the past 6 installments. It has its moments, like the time Ron took a jibe at Twilight :p However, to be honest there's a lot of plots that need not be there and I do think they sacrifice a lot of scenes depicting "relationships" for a more commercial storyline.

If you read the book, you will know the most important element from the book is the relationships holding all the characters together and I feel that is missing from the movie. I can't feel the same sadness when some of the characters were killed and that's too bad as people who reads the book can't really relate to the characters that they have grown to love (or hate) in the series.

Hands down : Dobby wins the most lovable character in the movie :) Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Ralph Fiennes did a good job depicting the characters. Emma Watson deserve to be single out because not only did she's a great actress she looks so BEAUTIFUL in the movie :)

All in all I give it a 7/10 (B+) - Seriously it was a wayyyyy better production that Twilight (better storyline and actors) Kristen "imsomoodyitsannoying" Stewart should take some pointers from Emma Watson :p

KS always have that "I smell poo" expression on her face kan :p hahah

Anyway, I can't wait for the final movie, hope it does the book justice...

Ten Ten Ten...

I finally had my lazy Sunday after weeks of hectic weekends...

After a gruelling Saturday class presentation (konon) I want nothing more than to laze around and do nothing. Ryan of course had other plans for me, he started having high bouts of fever, which is totally scary. Brought him to DEMC because I was worried but the doctors told us it was nothing serious and just to monitor him closely.

On Sunday, I put my foot down and told hubby I don't want to go to any open house, do any house painting, appliances shopping etc as I want to relax. Ryan was better so he was less fussy. We did go back to Shah Alam for a few hours, got my STRAWBERRY SHAKE from MCD's and a few new DVD's.

Watched "Resident Evil 4" which was a bit of a disappointment. I love the 1st installment and the others are just a long list of bore to me ;p not looking forward for the next movie at all.Later we watched "Avatar: The Last Airbender" I love the cartoon and the movie is not bad despite the awful review. Dev Patel sangat comel (haha)Ryan was lepaking at the crook of my shoulders watching together quietly (a welcome change) and he literally started screaming when the movie ended. I guess he like the movie too...

Revenge of TV Series: I also watched these episodes the weekend :-

GLEE 2 :) : Rachel is more annoying than usual (is it possible??), Uncle Jesse of Full House- I love you, Britney looks like Britney Spears (only hotter), I love Kurt's version of "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" -a tear :`( All in all not a bad start to the season....

VAMPIRE DIARIES 2 : I have to say I hate the book, it is badly written, plot is all over the place and the way the character is developed is crappy. But the script writer of VD are doing a good job in re-telling the stories of Elena, Stephan and Damon. I LOVE CATHERINE. The chick kicks ass and don't wear her heart on her sleeves. Her character reminded me of Lady Gaga's PokerFace "she got to love nobody"

Gossip Girl 4: Saving the best for last :) Paris, fashion, friendship, cute guys and Monet paintings (which I can't look without thinking of Panda's- more story on this later) All the drama and gorgeous outfits make me wanna go BLIND... I'll kill to have the same wardrobe (minus the shoes, the clothes are better and more wearable than the ones in SATC -sorry Carrie-)

Arrghh Blair & Chuck : All the love and heartache... Have you ever love someone so much but can't say it out loud and you kept it all inside. You act like a total brat because you can't show him how you feel... He probably thinks you hate him but deep down inside you're dying that he don't know how much you care????

Hahaha the story of my life during the "Far Spanish Telenovela Episodes" Anyway sangat sedih lah.... I hope they got back together... Yes saya over sebab saya suka watch tv and konon relate to the characters :)

Cupcakes and Macaroons *killer combination*.... I'm saving for Europe (Airs Asia X ;p) once I've gone for my Umrah and Haj (hahah have to set my priorities straight kan?) But seriously kalau ada rezeki would love to bring Ryan for Umrah in the near future :) Pray that my wish come true....

Synopsis: Lan helped with the korban @ the masjid near his house. I stayed at home gossiping with sis in law. Went home to Klang in the evening, finish washing all of Beanie's clothes ( I hate doing freaking laundry and no matter how cute the clothes are tiny baju's are double the annoyance *grrr* Things you do for your child..hehe) At least hubby the laundry freak helped. Terima Kasih :)

Occasion: Post Anniversary Celebration??
Date: 28/11/2009
Venue: Pavillion KL

Synopsis: We spend half the day in Pavillion roaming around and getting baby stuff. I was salivating over the bags. Coach was having clearance sale so is Marc Jacob. Was contemplating buying one but can't find one that I really like (i.e. was also a bit put off coz Mr Azlan was making faces..huhu)

I managed to get the last bit of present shopping out of the way. I'm left with one xmas prezzie and I'm done for the year :)

Went to Parkson and we saw the Petunia Pickle Bottom line of diaper bags and I fell in love. Been hunting for some stylo diaper bag for the past few months and finally found one that I like within reasonable budget and it was on sale. The bags are also quite versatile and you can even attach it to the stroller with the stroller clip. Thanks darling me love the bag so much :)

I choose the Diaper Travel Hobo, instead of the Boxy Diaper Carryall :) It can double up as a handbag on the days when I'm out with Beanie alone...

We went and watch New Moon on the same day. Made hubby get me the gold class ticket, which was a good call coz my legs was aching after 3 hours of non-stop shopping. If you like the book, you'll like the movie, though I find it a bit draggy for some reason.

None of the actors would be winning Academy Award for their performance but it was a good entertining flick for the obvious reason (total eye candy feast) En. Jacob is so hot. Robert Pattinson is not bad if you can look past the paleness and ridicoulous red lips (haha) Kristen Steward just annoy the shiz outta me in and off screen. I never like the character Bella that much. So whinny and clingy, tak girl power lansung.

However, don't let my comments put you off from watching the movie. Serious best if you want easy entertainment :)

Sun Day Lazing...
Didn't do much today. Lazing around, was a bit tired from all the walking yesterday. Need to do a bit more cleaning up today and I think I'll go to bed early.... lalala

Off to watch Iron Chef.
